Fix for the Shopify POS v9.26.2 bug affecting receipt customizations
Shopify’s latest update (9.26.2) has introduced a bug affecting all custom receipt code functionality across Shopify POS.
The good news? Shopify is aware of the issue and is actively working on a fix. We’ll let you know as soon as they roll it out!
If your custom receipts aren’t working as expected, you can temporarily revert to the visual editor in Shopify POS to restore normal functionality.
Step 1
Navigate to the POS channel in your Shopify admin area, then click on 'settings'
Step 2
Click on 'Receipt customization' under 'checkout'
Step 3
Click 'Customize your receipts' under 'Printed receipts'
Step 4
This will bring up the code customizatiion page. At the top of the page, click on the 3 dots next to 'Editing code for printed receipts' and select 'Switch to visual editor'
Step 5
In the 'Switch to visual editor' alert box, select 'Switch'
Step 6
Hit the 'Save' button at the top right of the page
