POS Cafe tile
Performance and reliability
- Faster Add to Cart: Adding items to the cart is now noticeably quicker, especially when adding repeat items. Re-adding the same item with the same options now correctly increases the quantity instead of creating unnecessary duplicate lines.
- Smoother Navigation: Moving between collections, products, and the customise screen is now faster and more responsive, reducing lag during busy service periods.
- Improved Layout: Refreshed the POS Tile layout for a cleaner, more intuitive experience, with a completely redesigned mobile view that makes POS Cafe much easier to use on smaller screens.
- Quicker Item Editing: Opening an existing cart item to make changes now loads significantly faster, making it easier for staff to update orders on the fly.
- Improved Modifier Reliability: Fixed a rare timing issue where modifiers could fail to load if staff moved very quickly into a product.
- Clearer Discount Feedback: If a Cafe Discount cannot be applied or removed while editing an item, POS Cafe now shows a clear message instead of failing silently.

Order Types
- Order Type Opt-Out: Locations can now fully disable Order Types. When all order types are turned off for a location, staff will no longer see the Order Type selector in the POS Tile, and no order type will be added to cart or line item details.
- Improved Fresh KDS Routing: Orders that contain items with different item-level order types are now split into separate Fresh KDS tickets, helping kitchen teams see each item under the correct order type.
- Cleaner Admin Settings: Order Type settings now have a dedicated POS Extension section in the admin, with clearer layout and improved messaging when Order Types are turned off for a location.
- Settings Save Fix: Saving Order Type settings is now smoother, with the save bar closing correctly after the first save.
