POS Cafe Tile v2.0 starts the year with a faster add to cart, a more reliable cart transform and a big internal rebuild for stability.
We started 2026 by focusing on the thing your team does hundreds of times a day: adding items to the cart. January’s work on POS Cafe Tile v2.0 makes that faster and more reliable.
A faster add to cart
We rebuilt how the POS Cafe tile adds items to the cart. Adding a customised drink is now noticeably quicker and more responsive, which means shorter waits at the counter and a smoother checkout for your customers.
A more reliable cart transform
When an item is added, POS Cafe applies its modifiers, extra charges and order details to the Shopify cart. We optimised this step so it takes less time and behaves consistently, even on large or complicated orders.
Rebuilt for stability
We also refactored a large part of the POS Cafe tile’s internals. You won’t see these changes directly, but they make the tile faster, more stable and easier for us to improve, which sets up the bigger features coming later this year.
There’s nothing you need to do. These improvements apply automatically to POS Cafe Tile v2.0.
