POS Cafe Product Update - December 2025
Order Types arrive on order tickets, Fresh KDS and online ordering, plus behind-the-scenes work to keep POS Cafe fast through the busiest time of the year.
December was all about getting cafes through the holiday rush. Order Types, which we announced in our November update, went live, and we spent the rest of the month making sure POS Cafe stayed fast and dependable during the busiest trading weeks of the year.

Order Types let you define the different ways your cafe serves customers, such as:
- For Here
- To Go
- Pickup
- Drive Thru
- Delivery
- Curbside
Staff choose an order type in the POS Cafe tile, and it appears at the top of your order tickets and Fresh KDS screens, so the kitchen knows straight away whether a coffee is going into a mug or a takeaway cup. Order Types also work in Online Ordering.
Order Types can be set per item, so a single order can mix them. A customer can order a coffee for here and a sandwich to go, and each item is labelled correctly.

Ready for the holiday rush
Behind the scenes, we tuned POS Cafe for the high-traffic holiday period so orders keep moving when your queue is out the door. We also shipped a round of minor bug fixes and interface improvements.
