Locations

POS Cafe allows you to manage multiple physical locations tied to your Shopify store. Each location can be configured independently with its own product collections, operating hours, and device setup - including kitchen display screens (KDS) and receipt printers.

Locations Overview

Where to find it: From the POS Cafe admin panel, navigate to Locations in the main menu.

Here, you’ll see a list of all your Shopify-connected locations. Each row includes:

  • The location name (as defined in your Shopify settings)
  • Whether a POS Cafe license is currently active at that location

Managing a Location

Click on any location in the list to open its Location Detail Page. From here, you can configure key settings specific to that location.

Store Hours
  • Use the dropdowns to select a start and end time for each day.
  • Toggle the switch on or off to mark the day as Open or Closed.
Custom Location Menu

Use Location Menu to activate custom menus for each of your locations.

  • Toggle the switch to activate a custom menu for this location
  • Click Add / Edit Collections to manage which collections are visible.
  • Each collection displays the number of products currently included.
  • You can also remove a collection by clicking Remove.
License Activation
  • Use the toggle under POS Cafe License to activate/deactivate the license.
  • Only licensed locations can use POS Cafe features on their Shopify POS devices.
Devices

In this section, you can manage the printers, Fresh KDS screens and registered devices (POS devices) you use at this location.

  • Click on Registered Devices to connect and configure your POS Devices. This step is necessary if you wish to filter your printer output via the POS device on which an order is placed
  • Click on Fresh KDS Screens to connect and configure your kitchen display screens for item routing & order preparation display.
  • Click on Receipt Printers to connect and configure your external receipt printers for item routing and multiple printer use.
Order Types

In this section, you can manage the Order Types accepted at this location.

  • Order types require selection on each order, and are then displayed on either your printed order ticket, or on your Fresh KDS screen
  • Toggle the order types you'd like to be active at this location
  • Click 'Set Default' to choose which order type you'd like auto-selected by default for each order.

Switching Between Locations

To switch between locations, return to the main Locations screen and select a different store. This allows you to tailor each cafe’s setup individually - perfect for multi-location businesses.
