Cafe Collections warning

Seeing the message below inside the POS Cafe tile?
“We couldn't find any Cafe Collections. Head to the POS Cafe app in your Shopify admin to create your collections and start brewing the perfect menu.”

Why you’re seeing this

This warning appears when the tile can’t find any Cafe Collections to display. It typically happens in one of two scenarios:

No Cafe Collections have been set up yet

Upgrading to the new v2.0 POS tile

If you’ve already added collections but still see the warning, you’ve likely switched from the old tile to our new v2.0 tile and the local data cache hasn’t been refreshed yet.

Quick Fix: step-by-step

  1. Open the POS Cafe tile and confirm the warning text appears.
  2. Ensure you’ve created at least one Cafe Collection in the Shopify admin.

  3. If you recently upgraded to the v2.0 tile, refresh the collections inside the tile (top-right).

  4. If the message persists, force a re-sync by switching to another location or logging out/in of Shopify POS, then reopen the tile.

I’ve set up collections, but still see the warning—what now?
Use the Refresh button in the new v2.0 tile to re-sync. If you recently migrated from the old tile, follow the v2.0 setup video above.

How long does the cache last?
Up to 24 hours by design. You can refresh anytime to instantly pull the latest collections.
